/

about

The second track of the album features three karimba/nyonga-nyonga mbira pieces Chemutengure, Chakwi, Bunga Utete
“Chemutengure” translates as “that which carries” and refers to the Boer wheeled carts
“Chakwi” translates as “war”, but refers also to a kind of surface transitional lake after rain
“Bunga Utete” may mean “should speak”, but it is not clear. It could also refer to Bunga on the Utete.
