about

This is an arrangement of the traditional Ainu dance tune Tokito Ran Ran, Swooping and Pecking. It is a portrayal of cranes swooping down to pick at mountain leeks on the hillside.

It is arranged for a Nykalimbas Tonkori Kalimba and Hohner Guitaret, with obbligato Rainstick and Roland RS09 organ/string synth.

Interested in orchestration using field recordings, per the great John Cage's suggestions (1937).
The pieces are all pataphysical book reviews. They consist of musical essays on books of the same title that haven't been written, but should have.
