about

This is an arrangement of the Ainu pictorial tonkori piece "Etoukah mah irehte" (the sound of splashing (washing) crows). It is for NYKalimba Tonkori Ambira and Hohner Guitaret.

There is an obbligato provided by a Roland RS09 Organ/String combo, via a Roland Space Echo and a Dimension C Chorus. You'll either know why that's special already or not.

Thanks to the generosity and hard work by these Freesounders:

My much appreciated friend klankbeeld for the sound "Sparrows wash themselves in a small washbasin in a garden" standing in for a crow washing.

about

Ivodne Galatea Nedlands, Australia

Principally playing original compositions of an ambient nature on the Hohner Guitaret as well as other thumb pianos/finger harps/lamellophones.
Interested in orchestration using field recordings, per the great John Cage's suggestions (1937).
The pieces are all pataphysical book reviews. They consist of musical essays on books of the same title that haven't been written, but should have.
