Live looping Hohner PIanet using a Boomerang III and some wonderful handmade pedals - Bumblee Compressor/Swell, Figure Effects Fig. 17 Silicon Fuzz and an unnamed Germanium Fuzz - both using NOS transistors, capacitors etc. I wanted to match the Pianet with the distortion of the time (inspired by the Canterbury tonalities). Looping is as sparse as possible, making use of the four different length loops of the Rang in free mode, with minimal playing and stacking. There is a percussive sound made by a reel-to-reel rewinding and flapping. A sound familiar to people who used to loop with tapes, and one I miss.

This is designed to be sparse, so the sound as processed can be sense. I found it particularly lovely playing the compressed swell through both fuzzes with their separate characteristics (I love serial simple fuzzes). Hope others like it too
